All it cares about is relationship level. You don't even have to romance ANY of the characters. There's nothing to flirt with on the cat. You meet a stray cat and make friends with it. There's nothing weird and sketchy about the cat.

Sounds extraordinarily weird/sketchy at best, I still don't get why there are non males in something like this to be honest, because I've seen other threads asking for a female version of this and all the fanbase does is REEEEEEEE loudly and start to harass people and shoot down anything regarding it.Īll in all, just extremely weird/stupid design choice. So if you were only interested in straight relationships, you'll be crippling your enjoyment and the range of weapons you can level up. However, you get most out of the game when you're levelling up (by 'dating') all the characters. So no, the devs don't want you banging animals. I won't spoil it but no, technically you don't 'date' the cat.
